Core Gameplay and Technical Functionality

This application operates as a dedicated second-screen controller, requiring both a PlayStation®4 console and the separate purchase of the Knowledge is Power: Decades game. The setup process involves connecting your mobile device and PS4™ to the same Wi-Fi network, followed by an in-app synchronization sequence. Players can then customize a digital persona by selecting an avatar, taking a selfie, and applying various humorous visual filters. The game supports multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and French, to accommodate an international player base.

The primary mode supports up to six participants in a local multiplayer session. Players answer a stream of trivia questions spanning from the 1980s to the 2010s. Strategic depth is added through the Power Plays system, a set of special moves that can be deployed to gain an advantage or hinder opponents during the climb up the Pyramid of Knowledge. Furthermore, the game integrates six distinct touch-screen mini-games that test both mental recall and physical dexterity.
